I'm following the Elastix with tear guideine for fax function.

I can't receive fax from outside fax machines.

Here's what I setup one FXO for fax:

IAX2 extension:
Display name: Joe
Extension number: 206
Serect: 206

View Virtual Fax:
Virtual Fax Name: * home_fax
Fax Extension (IAX): * 206
Destination Email: * leiw324@yahoo.com.hk
Secret (IAX): * 206
Country Code: * 852
Area Code: * 852
Caller ID Name:
Caller ID Number:

Inbound route:
Fax Extension: system
Fax Detection Type: NVFax

General Settings:
Extension of fax machine for receiving faxes: system

if you direct your inbound route to ext 206 is the fax working?

When you say you can't receive fax what does that mean?
is the extension answering? Is the fax received but not forwarded to you email?

Try to be more explicit.

Also a copy of your log regarding that call would help us to answer you.
